For Ella
Price:
$60.00
In Memory of Ella.  20% goes to The National Canine Cancer Foundation.
Details:
As most of you know, we had to let Ella go on June 2, 2010 due to canine lymphoma.   We made that difficult decision against everything we wanted for ourselves.  We wanted Ella to be with us forever.  She was, and always will be, our heart dog.  We were not ready to let her go.

But it wasn't about us or what we wanted.  It was about what was best for Ella.  The cancer had spread to her spleen and liver, and most likely to her stomach.  She could not hold down food without being given 2 anti-nausea medications.  It was paining her to climb upstairs due to the cancer swelling her organs.  And we didn't even KNOW that it was lymphoma until the day before we had to let her go.

We feel so deceived and betrayed.  This awful disease even fooled her bloodwork!  While she was suffering from this disease, her bloodwork was coming back completely NORMAL.

She woke up on May 11th, 2010 with the right side of her neck swollen to the size of a tennis ball.  And just on May 9, 2010 (Mother's Day), we had company over, and Ella was playing and showing off in the backyard, at the healthiest we had ever seen in her the years she was with us.
In TWO DAYS, cancer invaded her body, swelled her neck up like that, and on June 2, 2010, her health deteriorated so badly that we made the decision to let her go.  Three weeks and one day.  That's all it took.
The only way to beat the cancer at that point was to let her go in peace with dignity before the cancer could take over her entire body and kill her.
We couldn't sit back and watch that happen to her.  She was in pain.

And we are angry.  We want this cancer to be stopped.  We want it destroyed so that no one else has to lose their heart dogs to it.
That is why we have contacted The National Canine Cancer Foundation so that we can donate 20% of the sales of each "For Ella" collar to their organization to help eliminate cancer.
Please show your support in finding a cure so that this cancer can stop ripping beloved heart dogs from the families that love them so much.

We love you, Ella.
It's the least we can do since we didn't have time to do anything while you were still with us.
