This collar is named after “Cullen Bohannon” the main character from AMC's hit show “Hell on Wheels”.

Having named this collar after the character, it only seemed fitting to contact Anson Mount who plays Cullen Bohannon. From his facebook page and twitter, we noticed that Anson is pretty active in providing relief for Hurricane Sandy victims (you can read about his visits and aid on his facebook page). After contacting him, going back and forth in messaging, we agreed that 50% of the proceeds from each “The Bohannon” collar sold will be going to Mayor's Alliance's “Wheels of Hope” program.

From Maggie at Mayor's Alliance: The Alliance’s Wheels of Hope transport program moves pets who are at risk of being euthanized from AC&C facilities to rescue groups and no-kill shelters with the resources to find them new homes. Animals are at risk of euthanasia 365 days of the year, so their fleet is up and rolling 365 days a year. Since 2005, when the program began, more than 55,000 animals have been carried on Wheels of Hope transport vans on their first step to a new life and family.”

And since the disaster of Hurricane Sandy, Mayor's Alliance is on the front line helping to transport animals out, providing food, and mobilizing volunteers wherever needed.

Their Wheels of Hope program has been given a grant to match whatever donations they are given. So, when you purchase a “The Bohannon” collar, our 50% of the proceeds will be matched, doubling the donation!
